Our new covered brewery beer garden attracts visitors to Birgel even on rainy days. Our home-brewed beer (Helles and Weizen) and delicious food invite you to stay.

Reopening of the Historic Water Mill
The complete reopening of the historic water mill including overnight stays is planned for Easter 2023 . We will inform you about further partial openings in the course of the year at this point. We are happy to accept any bookings for the period from 07.04.2023 again as of now. (Weddings, birthday parties, family celebrations, group travel). The Eifel is a popular holiday destination with countless sights. If you spend the night in the historic watermill in Birgel, you have found an ideal starting point to set off to numerous attractions in the area.

The Eifel has a lot to offer, especially for families with children; the number of animal and game parks is enormous. But even active holidaymakers can discover a lot of exciting things near the Birgel watermill. If you want to see the beautiful Eifel from above, you have the opportunity to do so in the so-called Dahlemer Binz. Only about ten minutes by car from the Birgel watermill, this excursion destination ensures fun and entertainment. True to the motto of the facility “A piece of earth where leisure has wings …”, you can feel as free as a bird and escape the stress of everyday life. You can not only discover the landscape from above with a glider, parachute jumps for the particularly brave are also offered in Dahlemer Binz. In addition, you can join a balloon ride and enjoy a great view of the landscape. One of the newest achievements of the Dahlemer Binz airfield is the gyroplane. In these you sit – of course together with an experienced flight instructor – in an open helicopter and feel as free and carefree as a bird.
Incidentally, a visit to the Dahlemer Binz airfield is particularly worthwhile if one of the numerous events is taking place. Regardless of whether it is an open-air event, a classic car or automobile club meeting – there is always something going on at the Dahlemer Binz sports field.
If you want, you can stay overnight directly at the airfield, because there is also a campsite here.
By the way, in the immediate vicinity of the airfield there is an approximately 1.1 kilometer long go-kart track, which is also worth a visit.

After an exciting day at the airfield in Dahlem, you will certainly look forward to returning to the watermill in Birgel, because here you will be pampered particularly warmly. In one of the three restaurants, for example, you can taste typical regional specialties such as the mill fillet or the mill snacks. The accommodation in the rooms also shows how much value is placed on personal service in the watermill. The romance of an old mill is particularly evident in the more than 300-year-old half-timbered houses – couples who have just fallen in love will particularly feel at home in the harmoniously furnished rooms.
