Sloe liqueur from the Eifel

This fruity liqueur with an alcohol content of 25% vol. is characterized by its full-bodied taste as well as its lovely mildness. Sloes are very special wild plums, about the size of a hazelnut kernel. The blackthorn from the Eifel can often be found on the edges of forests, but is only edible and ready for harvesting after the first frost. Sloes have therefore long been very popular for making liqueur.
