Welcome to the restaurants of the Historic Birgel Watermill – a place where tradition meets indulgence. In our lovingly designed historic rooms, the mill team prepares regional specialties and selected gourmet dishes for you. Whether it’s a cozy meal for two, a family celebration, wedding or company event – you’ll always find the right ambience here. The whole thing is complemented by our rustic brewery restaurant and the covered beer garden, where you can enjoy home-brewed Mühlen beer and hearty grilled specialties.

Restaurant & beer garden “Wirtshaus zum Sägewerk”
In addition to Eifel specialties, the tavern gastronomy also offers gourmet delicacies. In addition to the daily menu, there is also a “special recommendation from the chef” depending on the season. The pub has about 80 seats. In the summer months and especially on weekends, we recommend reserving a table.

The restaurants “Le Moulin”, “Fachwerkstube” and “Brenn-Galerie” open their doors exclusively by reservation. We are happy to take inquiries and bookings at any time on +49 6597 92820.
Restaurant “Le Moulin”
The former gourmet and delicatessen restaurant is attached to the inn in terms of the menu. If you like to celebrate there, you can also use the restaurant for your own guests(from approx. 25 people). The “Le Moulin” restaurant seats a maximum of 50 people.
Half-timbered room
The Fachwerkstube is a room measuring 12 x 8 m and can accommodate approx. 65 guests. Here, too, the specialties and delicacies of the gourmet kitchen are served as a menu or mostly as a buffet. An anteroom offers the possibility for champagne receptions or later as a bar table.
Restaurant “Brenn-Galerie”
Our largest room for celebrations is the “Brenn-Galerie” restaurant. It offers space for up to 250 people with normal seating and is therefore ideal for company parties, weddings and birthdays. The room has been given the name “Brenn-Galerie” because this is also where our schnapps distillery is located and where our schnapps specialties are produced. The ambience of the adjoining buffet room leaves nothing to be desired. Here, too, the specialties and delicacies of our gastronomy are served as a menu or in buffet form.

Brauhaus Restaurant & Brewery Beer Garden
Experience rustic coziness with home-brewed mill beer and hearty dishes straight from the grill. In a relaxed atmosphere, traditional brewery craftsmanship meets Eifel delights – inside in the cozy Brauhaus restaurant or, from spring to autumn, outside in the covered beer garden.

Brewery beer garden (self-service)
Since 2021, in addition to the four fully functional mills, romantic half-timbered suites, a registry office and many other attractions, head miller Erwin also operates his own mill brewery. A new covered beer garden invites you to sit and relax. Enjoy a home-brewed Mühlen beer and delicious grilled food from our Mühlen grill.

Also in the cold season we are there for you! In addition to our brewery beer garden, our rustic brewery restaurant is also open. Look forward to Erwin’s home-brewed mill beer and delicious food offerings at both brewery locations.
