Eifel Elderberry Compote
Our homemade elderberry jam is made from the shiny black berries of the elderberry panicle grown in local areas of the Eifel. The gentle processing of the elderberries and the combination of various flavor nuances—from tart to bitter and finally sweet on the finish—make this jam something truly special. With a fruit content of over 50% and an extremely low added sugar content, this jam is an absolute taste experience.

Elderberry jam is extremely rich in vitamin C and is therefore particularly popular during the cold season. It’s also always a welcome addition to the breakfast table and is wonderful on toast and similar foods. Combined with a little elderberry syrup and plenty of quark, it has a unique flavor on hot summer days.
