Description
Sloe brandy from the Eifel
Our sloe brandy with an alcohol content of 43% vol. is a special brandy specialty made from the fruit of the blackthorn. Sloes are one of the best-known wild fruits in the Eifel region. The fruit is only edible after the first frost and reveals its sweet and tart flavor. Before that, it tastes so bitter and sour that any attempt to eat it ends in failure.
Its intense fruity flavor resembles cherries or plums, while its aroma is reminiscent of marzipan. It is considered a real rarity due to its laborious harvest and long shelf life.
How do you enjoy the brandy?
This sloe specialty is best enjoyed neat at an approximate drinking temperature of 16 to 18 degrees. It tastes excellent as a digestif after a successful dinner or with dessert. In quiet hours, sloe brandy invites true connoisseurs to get to the bottom of its many aromatic nuances over a glass
